Also, speaking of going to the dentist–

So one thing I used to dread about going to the dentist is the inevitable polishing that the dentist does. You know, with that machine that like scrubs your teeth in a circular motion, while applying the gross-tasting polish? The sound, taste, and the TEXTURE of that machine used to bother me so fucking much. It was honestly upsetting, especially when the enamel on my front teeth became weak, which made the polishing experience painful as well.

I complained about how much I hated the polishing part to my dentist, and to my surprise she actually offered me an alternative! 

If you’ve ever had braces, you might be familiar with your dentist pulling out a machine that essentially sand-blasts your teeth, or “air polishes” them. It’s not exactly a pleasant experience, but to me it’s far preferable to the cringing sensation the regular polisher always gave me (along with the tooth sensitivity). It’s also a lot faster too.

So idk, I just wanted to type this to say that sometimes your dentist might have some surprising alternatives to make your visits less stressful, or easier for sensory issues! 

I love my dentist; she’s a very nice, tiny lady with short red hair. She’s the classic dentist that talks to you when you can’t reply, tho I don’t rlly mind. She’s sweet and funny, and just talks about her family. She was happily telling me today that she got her 10-year-old son a Let’s Go Pikachu Switch bundle for Christmas this year

But she is. A bane. To my gums.

This woman is the fucking Queen of gum-stabbing. It is practically her mission to make sure that her cleaning instruments jab every inch of soft mouth tissue possible. I’m convinced that I could floss for years and she would still insist on scraping so close to my gumline that she is scraping my gums instead

Every once in awhile there is another dentist that takes over for her, and while this second lady isn’t as fun or amicable, she is a Saint. My mouth worships her for her steady, gum-fearing hand.

I lucked out in joining a very smooth Antorus achievement run last night, with a discord for clarity. We only had to redo the Argus achievement once, otherwise the run was very quick and perfect!
