The problem, in one picture.
I never realized until seeing this picture that my interpretation of an average size woman has become REALLY SKEWED oh my god I wanna cry
This reminds me of something Portia de Rossi said in an interview. When she was anorexic she would compare her measurements to that of a mannequin:
“It occurred to me to measure the mannequins and to measure myself against them and try to be as small as them, and believe it or not, I don’t think I ever was. That just shows you how crazy these images are that we’re given as women.”
At her lowest weight she was 82 pounds.

I hate how memory association works sometimes
Like– I remember playing Spyro on PS for possibly the first time years and years ago. I was playing the Stone Hill level and exploring up top on the hill (you know, that awesome area that felt tantalizingly forbidden, like you’d gotten somewhere you weren’t supposed to be– man Spyro was great for those)
Well, anyway, my sister and mom were in the room and I just remember them talking about a news story where a family was starving and they had to eat their pet dog
And so now, whenever I play the Stone Hill Spyro level, that is all I can think of. So yeah– glad my brain tied in playing an awesome, beloved video game level with the thought of a family before forced to consume their beloved pet.
